It’s the season of goodwill and Gary and I want to do our part. So, as we sign off the GWA blog for Christmas, we want to leave you with a healthy dose of automotive cheer. We thought we could tell you about the increases in new car finance or car production, but then we decided a profile of some very special cars in the news might just be more fun.
Normally, when it comes to flying vehicles at this time of year, we’re talking about sleighs, but not in this case. The reborn DeLorean Motor Company will relaunch its iconic DMC-12 as an electric car in 2013. No word yet on whether they’ll limit it to 87mph.
A car that will go (way) beyond that speed is the new Porsche 911, which is launched in the UK in 2012. If you can’t wait for a new one, we have a 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet on the GWA forecourt for £18,995.
Talking of quick cars we’ll see in 2012, Goodwood has confirmed that next year’s Goodwood Revival will celebrate 50 years of the AC Cobra by holding an exceptional one-model race featuring the finest collection of the cars ever assembled in the UK.
Other cars we can look forward to in 2012 include the Jaguar CX-16 and the Mercedes SL. While we wait for those launches, GWA has a 2006 Jaguar XKR 4.2 V8 Coupe available for £23,995 and a 2004 Mercedes C230 Kompressor SE Coupe for £5,495.
