It might be all about the US at the moment in terms of motor shows – SEMA in Las Vegas has just been and gone and the Los Angeles Auto Show is next week – but when it comes to showy motors, right now Gary and I have got our eye on the Germans.
VW is expected to unveil its new Passat CC at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The model has undergone quite the spruce up according to the blurb, including having the Passat name removed. Nevertheless, from the pictures, it looks good and I can see it being just as popular as its predecessor. Notably, it has the new VW design DNA – more sculpted and sleeker looking.
If you can’t wait for the new CC, we have the new 5-door VW Polo 1.2 Match from £167 per month and a 5-door 2008 VW Golf 2.0 TDI 140 Hatch for £9,995 on the GWA Cars & Finance forecourt.
Somewhere else in Germany, the new limited-edition BMW M3 Coupe is being prepared for a 2012 launch to celebrate 40 years of the M Division. The one-off model, known as the Competition Edition, has lots of nice extras, including black GTS alloys, and will be powered by a V8 4.0-litre engine.
If you can’t wait until next year to celebrate the M Division, we have the BMW 318D M Sport Auto available on special offer from £349 per month.
