I mentioned the Geneva Motor Show in my last post – Rolls Royce is unveiling their electric car there – and it all kicks off in the Swiss capital this week. So, I thought it would be a good idea to give you a quick rundown of what to expect from one of the most eagerly anticipated motoring shows for a while.

If I could get away from GWA Cars & Finance HQ and take Easyjet to Geneva, the first thing I’d search out is the new Aston Martin Virage. Or possibly the Maserati GranCarbio Sport. I’m told both are excellent for popping down to the Co-op for the paper and a pint of milk.

Which one would get there first? Well, the Virage packs a V12, while the GranCarbio Sport has a mere V8, so it might be the former but I’d still like to do the test. If you’d like something a little less pricey, this might be a little more practical. But only a little. We have a BMW 318d M Sport 4 Door Diesel Saloon with 5,000 miles on the clock available for £19,995.

Also under the spotlight in Geneva will be the Jaguar XKR-S, which is being billed as the most powerful Jag since the XJ220, and the Mini Rocketman, which is BMW’s attempt to make the Mini more, well, mini after a series of ever larger models.

Talking of German rockets, the GWA Cars & Finance forecourt currently boasts a BMW Z4 Roadster 3.0i SE Manual, available for £9,995. Soft top with an electric hood, six speed gearbox…perfect for that early morning run!
