GWA Cars and Finance

Going the extra mile...

New and used cars, finance and peace of mind.

With Wattsie away enjoying some sunshine, I thought I’d head off to somewhere warmer for this week’s GWA Cars & Finance blog. I’ve chosen Tokyo, as the city hosts its annual motor show in a few weeks time and local manufacturers are debuting a number of new cars.
Mitsubishi has popped up on my radar recently as they have a new Shogun due for launch soon, but at the Tokyo motor show they will unveil two other new cars, including the Mitsubishi PX-MiEV II concept, which is a mid-sized hybrid plug-in that will make the compact SUV arena even busier.
Mitsubishi are also launching the Mirage, which I think will replace the Colt supermini. If you can’t wait for this Japanese run-around to reach these shores, we have one of our own on the forecourt: a 5-door 2004 Nissan Micra 1.2 SE Automatic Hatchback for £3,995.
Underlining the focus on hybrid and electric cars, Toyota is also making a number of major introductions at the Tokyo motor show. The show will play host to the Toyota FT-EVIII and the Toyota FCV-R electric and fuel cell cars and the Toyota Prius c. The latter is a prototype compact hybrid due for launch before the end of the year.
Staying with something new and Japanese, we have a special offer on the new Toyota Auris 1.4D 4D, which is available for £179 per month, and the new Toyota Aygo 1.0 VVTi ,from £129 per month.
