Gary and I are doing a bit of time travel this week. Not quite the stuff of HG Wells, but we’re looking at something very brand new from Bentley in 2014 and celebrating Jaguar’s most iconic model from 1961: the E-Type.
I’ve mentioned previously that Jaguar celebrated 50 years of the E-Type at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this summer and the party is continuing in September at the Goodwood Revival. The good thing about the display at the Revival is that we’ll be treated to E-Types racing. Driving them in an exclusive version of the Fordwater Trophy will be the likes of Gerhard Berger, Jochen Mass and Rowan Atkinson (shoulder permitting, I should imagine). Definitely a race not to miss.
Talking of Jaguars, we have a newer model on the GWA Cars & Finance forecourt: a 2006 Jaguar XKR 4.2 V8 Coupe Auto for £28,995. We can source and lease new Jaguars and used ones, like this beefy XKR.
Going forward in time, Bentley have announced that they will launch an SUV in 2014 to challenge the Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport. The arrival of another Chelsea tractor on the roads is likely to stir up some debate, but it will be interesting to see how Bentley approaches what is a significant new design.
Staying with SUVs, the new Nissan Juke 1.5DCi Visia is a crossover from the Japanese car manufacturer. We have it available from £180 per month.
