The Paris Motor Show is one of the most important new car events this year. GWA give you a glimpse of what to expect.
With new car releases recently slowing down, manufacturers are saving their best for the Paris motor show, which is second only to the Geneva Motor Show for European new car debuts.
The Paris Motor Show or Mondial de l’Automobile, is held every other year on rotation with the Frankfurt Motor Show. The show started in 1898 and typically runs alongside the Geneva Motor Show, where the European manufacturers show off their best work, whether that be out there concept cars or production ready models.
The Paris Motor Show is home ground for French manufacturers like Citroen, Peugeot and Renault. But it’s a global motor show in every sense and every major car manufacturer will be showing what it has to offer. We’re expecting to see everything from city cars to giant SUVs at the exhibition centre, with a sprinkling of hypercars and future concepts.
The key cars to look out for:
Alfa Romeo Stelvio – Alfa takes its first step into the SUV market. The sporty looking SUV is launching in 2017.
