We’re intrigued to see the developments at Volkswagen unfold with regards to the world’s biggest car maker’s stance on electric cars.

VW want to offer an electric version of all of its 300 models by 2030, making it the latest manufacturer to move away from petrol and diesel. The motor giant will double investment in zero-emission vehicles to £18billion, with plans to offer 80 new electric cars across the group by 2025.

VW is the first major car maker to declare a big push into the mass-market with electric vehicles. Supremo Matthias Mueller explains:

“Customers want clean vehicles. People want to have clean air, and we want to make our contribution here,” he said.

It’s a fascinating story with almost weekly developments. Check back soon for more…
